Shared science foundations
A measurement chain connects a physical quantity to a sensor, conditioning circuit, sampled data and an interpretation. Every stage can introduce error.
Module lens
A discrete record can only represent a signal when the sample rate and filtering support the claim.
A linear calibration y = ax + b needs a slope and an offset with units. Check residuals and operating range rather than assuming two calibration points prove linearity everywhere.
For an ideally band-limited signal, sampling frequency must exceed twice its highest frequency to avoid aliasing. Real acquisition also needs anti-alias filtering, bandwidth margin and timing checks. More samples cannot recover information already aliased.

Temperature slope = (100 − 0)/(3 − 1) = 50 °C/V.
